What if a house could feel open to nature without being completely exposed to it? In this episode of Design Seed, Alex Lee visits Veil House by Studio Bikin, a modern concrete home that rethinks the relationship between privacy, natural light and ventilation.

Wrapped in a custom-made veil of precast concrete blocks, the house creates a second skin between the home and the outside world. Rather than closing the house off, the screen filters sunlight, controls views and allows natural ventilation while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding greenery.

After nearly a decade of living in the house, the home has also evolved with the family, as the children grew, the plants matured and everyday life gave the architecture its own character.
